Michael Mancuso, better known as Esselfortium, is a North Carolina-based electronic musician with a powerful ear for melody and a taste for immersive, cinematic atmospheres. In addition to his two double-length album releases to date, Michael has contributed to the One on Twoism compilation series and composed music for software corporations, stage plays, and amateur video game projects.

Michael began writing and producing music in the early 2000s, and made his professional debut with a complete soundtrack for a Macbeth stage production in 2005. He released his debut album A Terrible Flood shortly before graduating high school, spending the next few years polishing his skills for the creation of the ambitious followup Seventeen More Times.
